"TOGETHERNESS" - Connecting Womxn Through Space and Time

This year has been an unprecedented challenge for everyone, there is no denying that. The possibility of the “prior normality“ returning into our lives is currently fleeting further from reality, far into wishful thinking. Nevertheless (if not hence), it has become evident that there is also a window of opportunity opening in front of us— an opportunity to redefine, to reshape and to rebuild. We have been asking ourselves, “What do we truly mourn after from before this whole mess? What do we really want to take into this strange new world?“ and came to the conclusion, that womxn’s rights, the call for equality, intersectionality and representation are still being fought for. Not only that, but they are again being fought for. This is the essence of this installation/presentation/performance: The expression of how relevant, alive and serious the mission of feminism is. Especially in a time of crisis, transformation and contemplation.

In honour of the International Women's Day, the 8th of March, EWTA is presenting Togetherness: an audio-visual, 5h performance taking place in the Nathan Milstein hall at KHM in Stockholm.

In 8M,Togetherness: connecting womxn through space and time, EWTA is giving expression to the importance of this strike day. As women, as artists, as people with the unique opportunity to create and express, the collective approaches this day's strike in an artistic way; giving space to feminist voices of the past and present, leaving room for silence, strike and reflection, while also acknowledging outrage, anger and the power of emotion, movement and change.
