25N Recognizing Each Other

25N Recognizing Each Other is a photographic installation by womxn artists, musicians and art lovers that have employed their skin as a canvas: Their bodies shall read names of artists, composers, directors, creators, musicians, performers, curators, … that You might not recognize. Now, why is that?

This exhibition commemorates the 25th of November, the International Day Against Gender Violence. We hereby denounce the present and past inequality, discrimination and erasure of women, transgender women, intersex, agender and non-binary people within the patriarchy. 

The installation may point a finger on the prevalence of male art, but its prime intention remains to cherish and recognize womxn artists’ work. To emphasize their proficiency and art in spite of the baseless exclusion from history that many of them have been and still are suffering.
